It all started with a lightbulb moment… you know, one of those moments that you get a big idea in your head… something perhaps a little crazy… something you’ve never done before… something difficult, yet not impossible. And that’s where Portable NC was born.
I’ve lived in North Carolina for 24 years, and I’ve barely seen a fraction of it. So, now I’m on a mission: to see as much of this state as possible–one county at a time… just point my finger on a map, then go. Of course, some trips will require planning and perhaps an overnight or weekend stay. I’ll get to those when I can.
In the meantime, I’ve got 100 counties to see. Yep, there are exactly 100 counties in North Carolina. So, journey with me across NC! I’ll give you the ins and outs of each area. And I’ll introduce you to a few surprises along the way.
